My Mother's Birthday

Today, January 3rd, is my mother's birthday.  Although she never asked for much, she cherished her birthday.  Birthdays are a gift from God!  This what she said and how she viewed each one.

Today is a bittersweet day knowing how my mother felt about her birthday.

I adorned my mother with this birthday items on January 3, 2021,

Unfortunately, my mother departed this life on October 7, 2022.  How do you honor someone on their birthday when they are not physically with you?  You do it by writing about them and sharing their beauty and strength with the world.  You, also, share the lessons you learned about them and all the wonders of providing quality and loving care to them.

To honor my mother's memory, I am renaming this blog to Caregivers' Circle.  Caregivers' Circle will be place where caregivers can share their stories, share lessons they have learned as caregivers (not only about their love ones, but also, about themselves), and share tips or strategies they practice to provide optimal care for their love ones and for themselves.  You are welcome to share what you have discovered to assist other caregivers on this special and privileged journey.  The name change will occur during the month of February 2023.

Coming soon to complement this blog is a Caregivers' Circle podcast.  More information will be shared about this new podcast in next month's post.

I'm looking forward to honor my mother in this way and in this space.
